Charlie was one of the six major encounters during that first week on Flickr. His images have an amazing take on natural beauty, especially his macro work that creates new vistas of color and form. His scenic shots are delicate and intricate, perfectly balanced and full of muted but intense colors. My early exposure to his Mosaics made me see the possibility of a separate art form, where placement of color, darkness and form are the important variables.
